Oh, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person: having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them out.  Just as they are –chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.

  • We are professional counselors with 17 years of training and counseling experience and have been co-counseling for 16 years.  We continue to see that discovering hope in the face of hopelessness and despair is an essential factor in the healing process.  No matter how dark it feels right now, there IS hope in your situation.
  • We have a passion for those who have suffered trauma in their lives and believe that in spite of the painful wounds, there is hope for healing and new-found inner strength.  No matter what the reason for seeing us, you will find empathic listening, warmth and acceptance, as well as encouragement and insight.  A variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions will help you discover insights about yourself and your relationships.

Co-Counseling

  • One very unique aspect of our practice is that we co-counsel, which means that we are both present in our counseling sessions. Co-counseling is a relatively rare approach to both individual and couple’s therapy and has the potential to increase the rate at which healing occurs. Our clients benefit from the wisdom gleaned from the education, life experiences and perspectives we both bring into the counseling relationship. We are very intentional about providing a caring and inviting space in which our clients feel comfortable as they share their hearts. Working together, we will discover the hope, healing, and freedom that is available for you on this journey of self-discovery.  Call us at 970-541-0596 to set up an appointment today.

Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.  Helen Keller
